Ohio Bed and Breakfast Directory

Detectives, grab your hat and pipe and follow us to one of Logan's early unsolved murders. There is a story of murder and mystery that happened in the house on March 10 of 1898. It seems the latter owner, a man by the name of John Engle was poisoned by strychnine placed in his coffee. His wife, who had tried to divorce him, was put on trial but acquitted of the crime. So who committed this wrong? We will never know. But we do know that a recent guest reported seeing a ghostly form hovering over her bed. Even an electrician working on the interior of the home had an uncanny feeling of being watched. Others have seen a period-dressed man and children playing on the front lawn. Maybe they are trying to tell us Whodunit!

The Georgian Manner sits quietly on the beautiful shoreline of Lake Logan. Despite its past, the bed and breakfast has a wedding chapel and makes a wonderfully beautiful wedding and honeymoon destination. A bird-watcher's haven, the lake has seasonal visits from swans, bald eagles, loons and other migratory birds. It is not uncommon to stare out over the lake to see an eagle dipping into the water, pulling out a meal of fish.
